Denise Sullivan was born in northern Indiana but spent most of her adult life in the Upstate of South Carolina. She has been retired for six years after spending her career years in sales and marketing management primarily in the newspaper and printing industries. Because she feels it is important to be engaged in the community in which she lives, she participated in the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program during her first year in Beaufort. In addition to her work on the Rural and Critical Lands Board, she is the Vice Chair of the Board of Low Country Habitat for Humanity and President of the Dataw Island Owners Association.
