We would like to invite you to participate in a resident input process. Beaufort County’s Rural and Critical Lands Preservation Program has acquired approximately 23,000 acres of land for conservation, since 1999. Over 70% of County voters approved the 2012 and 2014 referenda. Some of these spaces have potential public use and benefit as passive park space which can be utilized for recreation such as bird watching, hiking, fishing, and walking in a natural setting, and much more.

Your input is needed to assist the County in creating a plan for the improvement, operation, and maintenance of these critical public spaces.

This is a really important step in the process so I hope you’ll take the time to participate.

Individual responses and suggestions will be kept confidential. For additional information call the Beaufort County Planning Department at 843-255-2141.
